I am a Canon shooter but find comparing these 2 cameras was like apples and oranges. Although I think the most important aspect of the comparison where the Nikon has the most advantage is with the cross type AF points. Nikon wins that hands down. I don't know why this many + type AF points can't be available in the consumer series of cameras from Canon. I shoot with an XSi and T3i and only having 1 AF cross type focus point in the T3i gets annoying and the XSi has NO cross type points. Yet I am not rich either to jump up to the 70d or 7D MKII like I want to. I wish this was just a firmware update for cameras , this way we can all enjoy higher level camera performance without having to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to upgrade the equipment. Great video Matt as always , keep them coming!

The Nikon has more focus points but only 15 are cross-type and they are all in the middle. The Canon has 19 ALL cross-types with a nice spread so I don't feel the Nikon has a big advantage over the Canon, plus the live mode focus for the 70D for both video and stills is amazing. FPS is actually 7.5 for the Canon which makes it a capable sports camera. The swivel touchscreen is very useful for low angle, high angle and video.

Thanks for the video. I have been considering 70D, then 7100 and now D750. It is a hard choice when I would like more features, but I am not professional, just I travel a lot, like portrets and sports. Maybe you can suggest some arguments why one or another camera, I would like not to mess around with finanses..:)

I compare 15 filters, with a range of prices from $10 to $360 - and a big variation in build quality, color cast, sharpness and vignetting - it is worth seeing some real world results before buying anything.I compare 15 filters, with a range of prices from $10 to $360 - and a big variation in build quality, color cast, sharpness and vignetting - it is worth seeing some real world results before buying anything.

Nikon Z lenses - are they better than F Mount?
