Sony A7R VI - FIELD TESTED In Bangkok

Featured Thursday, 09 July 2026 12:26

The Sony A7R6 is finally here — and I took it straight to Bangkok to see how far its new stacked sensor can really go. From temples to flower markets, torrential rain to low‑light portraits, this is the real‑world dynamic range test you’ve been waiting for.

Thanks to B&H for sending out the Kit for review.

In this video, I push the Sony A7R6 to its limits — testing dynamic range, shadow recovery, and highlight retention across real‑world scenes in Bangkok. You’ll see how the new stacked CMOS sensor, BIONZ XR2 processor, and AI auto focus perform in challenging light, plus sample RAW files for download. We’ll look at dynamic range, explore battery life, burst performance, and low‑light noise, buffering and find out whether this upgrade truly delivers for hybrid shooters. ? Shot on location with model Lin Lin across Wat Pho, Talad Flower Market, and Chinatown, using the Sony 28‑70mm F2 and 16‑35mm F2.8 G2 lenses. ? Check out Patreon Uncut for behind‑the‑scenes footage and extended tests.
