What to buy? Nikon 105mm DC vs 105mm Micro VR

  Thanks for the views on these lenses. I've been interested in a macro lens for sometime, particularly the Nikon 105mm VR but found a Tokina 100m micro in great condition second hand for less than a third the price of a new Nikon. It's screw-driven AF and hunts (which the limiter can reduce) but is incredibly sharp and I've since pretty much forgotten about the Nikon. A friend also bought the Tamron for his Canon which has much more impressive AF performance. So, here's the ask: I'd really appreciate a video on your views of the Nikon 105 (VR and D) vs the Tamron 90mm and Tokina 100mm.
