On and on it goes. After the screen issue, then the trackpad (sent back and not fixed), then second attempt another issue....

I had a similar situation come up with my Mac Mini. I had to take the computer in to the Apple store 3 times to get it repaired for different problems but all of the problems happened within a 5-6 week period. The computer was about a year old at the time. The Applecare online folks told me on the final time that I took the Mini in for service that they would put notes in the system for the store to have before I got there. When I arrived at the store they looked through the notes and asked me to wait for a few moments. The came back out with a brand new Mac Mini and swapped them out at no charge due to all of the inconvenience that I had been through. I was frustrated by the issues but they really impressed me with their service and the final resolution. I am just a normal person i.e. no YouTube following or web presence. I think that Apple is a really consumer friendly company that takes care of the people in the Apple community. Glad to hear that they were able to find a solution for your trip.
Matt,
Thanks for the great videos and product reviews. This is not quite related but I would appreciate your advice.
I am a portrait photographer who has just begun to shoot tethered with a MacBook Pro running Lion and a D700. I have tried Aperture, Sofortbild and currently using Lightroom 4 to tether. I would buy Nikon Camera Control but I understand they have not upgraded their product for the Lion or Mountain Lion OS.
Once I have captured in LR4 I need to transfer images to Media Expressions 2 which the studio uses for making selections. All the other photographers are using Canon and the Canon EOS utility works perfectly for this application.
I feel stranded by Nikon and can't find any info about a tether program which allow me to properly name the images and have them open in another program automatically. Canon EOS, of course does all this for free - but I haven't found this capability with any other tether program.
Sorry for the long post but any thoughts are appreciated.
Incredible Specs - but this has moved away from the Fuji I love and is more like a mini Sony...
400mm f4.5 - smaller, lighter.... better?
