“ I have smashed a camera once, and had to change the mainboard. Right there, I regret I didn't have an insurance. However, I think that in the long run, most of us are better off dropping the insurance. To insure equipment would most likely over the years cost far more than an incident or two. So unless you are extremely clumsy or got gear that you cannot afford to break, drop insurance.
