LIVE Photoshoot - 3 light portrait & DIY GOBO background

Featured Wednesday, 30 January 2013 00:28

A LOT of trial and error this time, finding object to cast interesting light patterns in the background for a 3 light portrait.... a bit of a mess really - but fun!

For me it's the best one you did so far.
I liked looking at a "real" photo shoot. Were not everything works on the first try, even if the basic idea is good.

Your inter-actions with Tina makes the video more interesting.

Hello Matt and Tina, I really enjoy your videos. Gives me ideas about what works and what does not.
Matt you are lucky to have such a beautiful young woman to work with who has a great humor. And does have a pretty butt.
    Please make more instructional vids.

First I’d like to say that you really keep things simple and appeal to photographers of all levels, even in your choice of accessories.

I enjoy your live videos a lot. Yes, it’s great to see the end result. We are all interested in that but it is much for informative to see how you get to the end result.

I also love that you do all your work with “speed lights’. Using portable strobes is of great interest to me.

Thank you for mixing both high end Nikon flashes and 3rd party strobes. Please continue this series.

Great video, love the interaction between you and Tina it shows how easy it can be to shoot a model with whom you obviously have a great rapport. Thanks

    Hi Matt,

I was wondering if you could give a tutorial on calibrating your monitor sometime.

    Thanks!

Thanks. Loved the video, and I love the "whole set up" idea. I much prefer this format.
